Our seven stair-climbers: remembering those who died at Twin Towers

Seven of our members took part in this year's 9/11 memorial climb at Sky Tower in Auckland. This year marked the 17th anniversary of the Twin Towers terrorist attack in which 343 New York firefighters lost their lives. Each year firefighters from around the country climb the 60 floors of Sky Tower in memory of them, and of the 50 NZ firefighters who have lost their lives on duty throughout the history of our fire brigades. One intrepid member of our brigade, QFF David O'Connor, did the double ascent this year, returning to the bottom and climbing again!
