Recruits getting to grips with salvage sheets

8 members from our Brigade attended the "Recruits' Class of 2018" at the National Training Centre in Rotorua at the weekend along with two of our Officers who were Instructors. All told, 23 Operational Support personnel from throughout the land participated in a full-on timetable of learning and exercises. Anyone who thought they might get to enjoy downtown RotoVegas on Saturday night was sadly mistaken... training was scheduled well into the evening. Topics during the two days followed the "Blue Brick", the collection of books containing the curriculum for recruits, including Salvage, Traffic Management, Lighting, Waterway Equipment, not to forget Knots and Lines. And for the record - proudly - everyone passed.
