9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

Six members took part in the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
The Brigade again participated in this year's event, remembering those emergency services' personnel who died in the series of tragedies on 11th September 2001 in USA, and those fellow New Zealand fire-fighters who have died in the line of duty. Six members, SSO Ross Bay, SO Andrew Galloway, QFFs Hayden Chisnall, Nigel Hohaia, and Matt Walker along with RFFJonathan McKessar, took part, some completing the 26 floor climb (about 550 stairs) more than once. SSO Bay, as Anglican Bishop of Auckland, officiated at the ceremony while other members of the brigade provided event traffic management and scene protection.
