Successful Weekend For Trainees

Five members of our brigade come back from the National Training Centre in Rotorua as candidates for promotion to the rank of Firefighter. Trainees Terence Akroyd, Ricky Dragland, Ashok Kumar, Caitlin Richards and Jason Schellingerhout undertook a weekend course for Operation Support personnel, the first such course since Covid-19 restrictions curtailed the training programme. Trainers said the 5 acquitted themselves well, benefitting from previous on-the fireground experiences, group training and personal development. Five of our Brigade Officers, qualified FENZ trainers, led the course.
